This painting is a depiction of Guanyin, the Chinese goddess of mercy and considered to be the physical embodiment of compassion. The mantra, om mani padma om is her mantra, and she is known as the 'Jewel within the Lotus'.
As the Goddess of compassion, and ending human suffering, she stands across this landscape immersed in peace, her dream for all- thus, "The Dreams of the Jewel"
